caps in headers are not respected

today I was trying to add in a middleware the headers API-KEY and API-SECRET to my request but they got transformed into Api-Key and Api-Secret which was not recognized by the API...

Hi @picsoung,

This is because APItools is very "smart" and transforms the request headers.

If you do request.foo_bar="1", it becomes [Foo-Bar]="1".

If I remember correctly, you can disable this feature by using rawset:

rawset(request, "API-KEY", "asdfasdfa12342143")

Weird because rawset does not seem to be sandboxed. I am investigating.

Ok so it is indeed sandboxed. The only way I see around it is making a copy of the headers, so it doesn't have "magic" any more, then adding the upcase headers to it, and replacing request.headers with that:

for k,v in pairs(request.headers) do headers[k] = v end
headers["API-KEY"] = "asdfasdfa12342143"
request.headers = headers
