Deleting these three directories solves the problem.

/packages
/bin
/obj

Right-click on your solution.
Go to Manage Nuget Packages.
Search for Microsoft.Net.Compilers.
Install or update on dependent projects as necessary.
Re-build, clean solution and restart Visual Studio .
