However, other GTK+3 applications do not behave this way; just hovering over a menu is not sufficient to light it up. For personal use, I’m changing that to (I had to uncomment the inclusion of (I’m on GNU/Linux (Xubuntu 22.04) and using a non-default GTK+3 theme Arc-Dark.) |

Re.curved tabs (thanks those are finally gone! Does this mean that it is no longer possible to have tabs with rounded corners at top? As in my current 102.12? Have started using the 4.3.9 with FF 114 - If rounded top corners (including hopefully tabs with more depth) are still possible, what would be a css to begin with?

I meant this project won't restore them the way they were in Firefox 29-56, but I'm sure it is possible to recreate them.

v4.3.9 w/FF 114 Bug? Findbar at top close icon does nothing, no way to dismiss it. Set to bottom works properly.

Just got FX 116 today and I noticed they have made a few changes. One of them is under Bookmarks: Search Bookmarks Can this be hidden like menubar_bookmarks_popup_other_item_hidden.css is? Another one I noticed are the separator lines seem shorter than before. They don't go the full length to the right. Not sure if this can be changed, but it looks uneven to me, especially on the right-click context menu. I'm using popup_compact_menus.css.

Don't know if this was mentioned earlier, but in Firefox ≥116 the urlbar-dropdown does not appear when start typing. |

100% this, I came here with the same issue of urlbar-dropdown not working, and it appears to be the "megabar_disable_openviewonfocus.css", disabling it and things work again. These are the only Location Bar settings I use. |

Same for me. I hadn’t realize how much I relied on it until it no longer worked. Drove me up the wall, lol. Thanks @nicolaasjan for identifying the cause, I’ve disabled it until the next update. |

Didn't Mozilla announce to drop support for Windows 7 and 8 with Firefox 116+? Most likely the code simulating AeroGlass / transparency does not offer the same results anymore. |

But exist German's app to add blur in Windows 10/11: http://www.glass8.eu/ Then better update ideas if possible instead remove a few css. Also versions Firefox 117 nightly released until 15.07.2023 can run on Windows 7 and 8/8.1 by extract files by 7-zip or WinRAR. Newer releases have a secured installer as well as throwing an error about an invalid exe file (i.e., they are double-protected so that you can't easily use them on Windows 7/8.1 without significantly modifying Firefox or Windows code). |

For FF I don't know but for the environment - ofc we have and I can set it in the way I like it with a numerous settings. |

In fact, I would even favour a different firefox view symbol. The active one is a very thin lined enigma what it is supposed to display. Maybe utilizing some monitor symbol with thicker lining and fill option for the coloring? Would need to find a free one, first. Edit: Or a binocular symbol? Had to search for one, as well. The magnifier symbol is already associated with a search, so this cannot be used. |

The file is under Expat/MIT License. Note, though, that (from my understandig) there must be a full copy of the text somewhere, not only a link as I did until now.

About the license: The uploader to Commons claimed it would be CC-by-SA 3.0 unported, but at Fontawesome website we can see that the font itself (and its symbols) is set under SIL OFL 1.1, confer Font Awesome License (the later Fontawesome versions are set to a Pro License, as it is named; edit: this is only true for the pro icons, see my answer below). From my understanding the attribution in the comment is enough here. Before I dealt with Source is File:Feather-core-monitor.svg (again Wikimedia Commons). Necessary edits: 1c1,2

This is set to Expat/MIT License, too, so the same requirement for the text applies. Though, this would need a CSS fill declaration also for the “uncoloured” state, something like EDIT: Apparently I could upload the SVG files into a posting, too. Tell me, please, if you are interested. Then the edit work had to be done only once. |

I guess I go with the second icon, the eye. No need to upload it, as I already did the necessary edits. SVG icons have to keep width/height values to be compatible with this projects default setup. Removing width/height values caused the icon to disappear on e.g. tabs toolbar. |
Interesting. I obviously did not test in this toolbar. I instead had issues with size adjustment of the symbol in the navbar as long as I kept the height and width attributes. |

@Aris-t2 I wanted to check this again, because I thought something’s not correct here, so I once again took a look, and in fact I was not quite right: For Fontawesome Free 5 & 6 the Pro license does not apply, there is a Free Font Awesome License instead with CC4 license for the icons. Why do I tell this? I think File:Font Awesome 5 regular eye.svg (again taken from Wikimedia Commons) may look slightly better because of the different reflection part. But once again |

Heya @Aris-t2, I’ve been using Firefox’s dark mode (in Settings → General → Website appearance) for a long time, and one issue is the searchbar option text (“Highlight All”, “Match Case”, etc.) stays black, making it very hard to see:

Another hopefully minor question: changing the background color of a new empty tab or the home tab is no problem, but what about this page? In the FF settings i set "empty page" when opening FF. But its called browser and not "about:newtab", so the rules from the "aboutnewtab" CSS files won't apply here?!

Agreed and came here to say this. Mozilla is infuriating with constantly trying to break Firefox and make its UI experience worse and dumber, and it's only thanks to Aris that it remains usable. Mozilla really needs to understand that we don't want Firefox to be Chrome. Every time there's a Firefox update, it's not "did they fix or add anything?", it's "what part of UI did they mess up this time?" and I hate it so much. Big props to Aris for undoing Mozilla's damage every update. |

Just another small cosmetical thing to allow me to achieve perfection after the V 133 update, I attach the usual GUI screenshot here to explain:
See the area marked with the red arrow on the location bar, the broken thick border in that zone? It happens when I try to type something there (with or without the extra reader mode/translate icons popping up, the star icon always present there is enough to cause that small bug). |

Ah, that was it, thanks! Makes me wonder how I had it this way before v133 with different settings. I thought they removed the title bar long ago when the moved tabs to the top. I remember I was forced to manually enter the color values for the title bar because they removed the OS accent color... Finally all the damage of the update is undone. Hopefully it will be a few months before the next update makes me spend another weekend pulling my hair out trying fix my setup and get it back to working how it always did... again. |

The latest version (v4.6.7) seems to have shrunk the font size for the location/address bar. You can see the size difference between result font size and location bar font size. |

The Private Browsing icon and text is missing from the right side of the tab bar, when Tabs Below Navigation Toolbar, regardless of whether the Private Mode Indicator option is hidden or not. Firefox 133, userchrome.css 4.6.7

Is it possible to compromise by not altering the menu width, while still reducing the spacing? Fact is, I would prefer closing the vertical spacing even more, if possible, and user customizing the menu width, maybe in myuserChrome.css? |

I am using Firefox 133.0.3 for Mac and version 4.6.7 of custom CSS for fx. After I updated to 4.6.7, I found that there is an extra, blank bar beneath the tabs toolbar. (See image.) |

Multirow tabs + classic drop indicator + tabs_below_navigation_toolbar (+ ...), and the tab drop indicator is clipped by the tab content (even with z-index 10000), do you know what to do? |

Tab drop indicator (independent of it appearance) does not work with "multirow tabs", at least not properly. |

Hello Aris-t2. Jsut got my first MAC and trying to get FF isdentical to my Windows setup which I know realize is impossible. But at least, can I change the position of the bookmarks toolbar to match Windows? Here is what I have today. Close, but not quite. Just changing the order of those toolbars would help. Thanks.
