Script addonbar_vertical: addon buttons disappear

I do not know, whether this is a general issue or only on my side, and also, how to debug this, so consider this more as informational.

In Firefox 114 with addonbar_vertical which has to be the version now in CustomJSforFx/scripts/old I observe a strange behaviour not present until Firefox 113.

Buttons from Firefox addons disappear after having been placed in this toolbar unless Firefox in private mode or there is a button from a userscript. Confer the following screenshot video. You see a normal Firefox window and behind this one in private mode (note the colour). The first button is from a user script, the others from addons:

This is indeed a strange case.

Does the same happen with buttons on bookmarks toolbar or other custom toolbars (add-on bar, top tool bars) too?

I does not happen with the “normal” horizontal addonbar. On bookmarks toolbar I did not test.

I meanwhile also tested with a new profile with two of the addons I use and it did happen there, too.

Same problem here. Whenever I hit the toggle button to show the bar, I can see the add-ons' icons, but after I toggle it off and on again, the icons disappear, and it only shows again when I restart the browser (Firefox 115.1).

I'm fairly sure this was fixed in the refactored versions, or even before that, since i can't reproduce this. If this is still happening then provide reproduction steps and i'll look into it.
