Allow bot to stream video

It would be very useful if the bot could stream video to the meeting for other participants to view. I would be happy to help develop this feature if possible (planning to use this in a project)

That’s a great idea and definitely one with exciting potential - but implementing video streaming directly into meetings like Zoom, Teams, and Google Meet would be quite challenging, to say the least.

The main difficulty lies in the need to support all three platforms. Aside from Zoom, they don’t expose the low-level APIs necessary for true video injection or real-time streaming. What you're proposing amounts to bi-directional media streaming, which approaches the complexity of building a meeting platform itself.

The best solution available on the market is streaming via a webpage using headless browser automation.
That said, I'm trying to stay open-minded and would love to explore this further. 🙂

Could you share more about your target use case? Specifically:

• What kind of video are you looking to stream (e.g. live camera, pre-recorded content, generated visuals)?
• How interactive does the experience need to be?
• What kind of integration approach or protocol are you envisioning?

Personally, I was trying to build a sort of AI job interviewer that would communicate with a candidate. I wanted it to mostly be able to speak (no video), but both could be useful. Therefore the video is live, as the bot first listens to what the candidate says, generates a response, and then speaks it out. The experience is very interactive.

I haven't done any research on how Meet, Zoom, Teams work behind the scenes, but since the video could be generated on the go (depending on what the participants are saying), I'd expect to work with something like WebRTC to make the bot stream video.

I understand that using headless browser automation is not ideal, but honestly I thought that this was how Chatter-Box worked initially
