Cannot build (openssl-sys-extras)

Hello,
I've tried to build the repo today (cargo build --release), but the build fails as follows:
error: failed to run custom build command for openssl-sys-extras v0.7.14

I tried to build using both the stable and nightly versions of rust, did not work ....
My config:

• OS: Ubuntu 18.04LTS
• Rust:
  • Cargo 1.32
  • rustc 1.32.0 (9fda7c223 2019-01-16) (tried also with rustc 1.34.0-nightly (b139669f3 2019-02-06))

I'm quite a rust newbie ..... any advice on how to build this please ?

You may need to set some OPENSSL environment variables like people do on Mac. see issue #19. This could be fixed more generally by updating the http client to use something like reqwest, PRs welcome!
