Thanks for the link. Is your algorithm in this shell script?

At first glance it looks like a heuristic you developed for your specific setting. Would it translate to a general setting for heat buffers?

Yes, that is the script!

Yes, it is tuned for my setting. (It is scratching my itch, and an existence proof I hope.)

But it is deliberately parameterised (see https://www.earth.org.uk/data/heatBattery/16WWDHW/ for example) to make it more broadly applicable. And the main control variable (% SoC) is independent of installation type or size, broadly.
