This repository contains an independent build utility. It does not grant a new license for CPython itself.
CPython is developed by the Python Software Foundation and is distributed under the Python Software Foundation License Version 2 and other notices included with the CPython source tree. Generated installers can also include third-party components governed by their own licenses.
When redistributing a generated Python installer, preserve the license and attribution files supplied by the CPython source release.
This project is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by the Python Software Foundation. Locally generated installers are not official python.org releases and are normally unsigned unless the builder is explicitly configured with a signing certificate.
