Sorting on results with relations.

Because the sorting is based of the order the columns are entered into the $columns parameter in the constructor, there is no way to enable sorting by a field from a relation.

Is there any way to get this sorting implemented?

Just try reading the manuals on the datatables.net or make your query include an ORDER BY clause.

What of the data table processing is the sorting that you are talking about--after the rendering of the table or before?
