MacOS building of 4.0.0/master

[Tieske]

When building the current master, I need to specify an additional flag, -std=c++20. So this makes the build succeed; luarocks make CFLAGS="-std=c++20 -O2 -fPIC".

However there are a bunch of warnings in src/intercopycontext.cpp, see details below.

Running Lua code that uses the resulting binary gets me a crash:

libc++abi: Terminating due to typed operator new being invoked before its static initializer in libcxx has
been executed. This is likely happening in code with -ftyped-cxx-new-delete enabled and statically linking
against libc++abi. If that is the case, and you cannot avoid invoking operator new in a static initializer,
please try disabling TMO for that code with -fno-typed-cxx-new-delete. Otherwise, please file a bug report
against libc++.

1ba28e1 removes 2 global variables. This is a blind fix, but with luck this will fix the runtime crash, unless I missed something.

My LuaRocks install has the target set to "11", I don't recall setting this, so I suspect this is directly as created by brew:

Yes that's another LuaRocks/compiler issue: default c++ standard used by gcc and clang is currently c++20. Hence the "-std=c++20" flag in the makefile. Unfortunately, I can't tell the same thing to LuaRocks in the rockspec. I guess all those issues would go away if I switched the rockspec to use the makefile instead of the builtin compilation facility.

The typical problem with switching to make files is the platform dependency stuff, make doesn't work on Windows.
