Error while removing the solution

I try to remove the solution and get the error:

Sql error: Generic SQL error. CRM ErrorCode: -2147204784 Sql ErrorCode: -2146232060 Sql Number: 5074

It is impossible for me to remove the solution.

What can I do ?

Stepping deeper into the problem I've found this error message:

The column 'proj_remainingbudgetallocation_Base' is dependent on column 'proj_ProjectBudget'. ALTER TABLE DROP COLUMN proj_ProjectBudget failed because one or more objects access this column.

The column 'proj_remainingbudgetallocation_Base' is a calculated column. But I can not edit the formula, the button is grayed out.

Would appreciate any help.

I have this exact same issue and currently have a ticket open with Microsoft Support looking at it for me, no resolution as of yet with them though.

Hey jbejai , did you get anywhere? I also had a call yesterday with someone from support, 1st line support only I'm guessing as they didn't have a clue how to fix it, but did take some additional information, and I did work out some additional information too I think.

It's a bit of a guess this but it seems like some recent update to Project for the Web is now using the Program table, part of the new portfolio stuff would be my guess, which has created a dependency meaning that accelerator now cannot be uninstalled due to that dependency. In particular, the Remaining Budget Allocation field as per the error message is on the Information Main Form which seems to be the sticking point.

I spent hours last night even trying the very much nuclear option of fully removing Project for the Web as per the instructions here...

But even that fails once you get to msdyn_ProjectServiceCore as you need to remove the accelerator first, which of course you can't due to the dependency.

Mark Heydon (@markheydon) I got nowhere also,,,, the engineers at INFOSYS is currently trying to get a solution for me.. I have a call later on today with them.. they have never seen an issue such as this hence its taking so long...

I'm afraid it's an all too familiar story with Microsoft Support generally these days. Takes days and often I just give up.

Good news jbejai Tom-CK !!! I've solved it!!!!!

Ok so went back to basics on this to sort it out. Basically, I checked for dependencies on the Project Budget field which is my case was...

I then went into each and removed the Project Budget field including the chart. My money is on the calculated column to be honest but I was getting sick of the disappointment of waiting ages only to be greeted with the 'Failed' message, so I got rid of them all, then did Publish All, then I was able to uninstall the accelerator.

Go in through the Default Solution (if you weren't already), and edit the 'proj_remainingbudgetallocation' column (i.e. NOT the _Base version), you should then be able to edit it. I replaced the msdyn_projectbudget field with '0' just to get it out of calculation. Remember to do a Publish All after editing it and check the deps again make sure it's gone.
