p302 - Groot goes in to infinite loop

I followed the instruction in the text. Groot2 opens and I can switch to real time mode but when I click connect nothing changes visually but the log loops showing

[groot2-2] "Reply timeout"
[groot2-2] socket disconnected
[groot2-2] subscribe finished
[groot2-2] Warning: Tue Sep 30 14:53:40 2025 - Disconnected with error: "Reply timeout" ,
[groot2-2] Reconnecting...
[groot2-2] "Reply timeout"

until I abend the process.
Both Gazebo and Rviz windows show what I would expect. (I did set the initial pose in rviz)

The Groot2 window does show a different tree to that printed in the text.

I have been re-working my way through the book with a more powerful laptop but few of my issues seem to have been addressed. Is anyone investigating these issues?
