Description

When sending a message (text only, not voice, video, photos, files, etc.) in Telegram, a quick white flash appears on the screen, but only after exiting the app that's actively using video (Instagram Reels). The flash doesn't occur in any other app under the same conditions. It doesn't occur when opening Telegram from another video app (TikTok).

Most importantly: the problem completely disappears as soon as I start recording my screen. It only occurs when I'm not recording. It also disappears after sending a certain number of text messages, or if I briefly exit the app.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open Instagram and watch Reels for 30-60 seconds.

  2. Exit Instagram and immediately open Telegram.

  3. Open any chat and try sending a text message.

  4. Observe the flash.

Expected Behavior

No flash - the screen should remain unchanged while sending the message.

Actual Behavior

A very quick flash (white) appears on the screen immediately after sending a message.

Environment

  • iPhone Model: iPhone 17 Pro Max
  • iOS Version: 26.5
  • Telegram Version: 12.7
  • Is the issue related to Wi-Fi and mobile data? Yes

Additional Context

  • The flash only appears after watching videos on other Instagrams.

  • I've already tried: reinstalling Telegram, updating iOS, and resetting graphics settings using a forced update.

  • Error: Unable to record the error on video — it disappears when I start screen recording.

  • The flash does NOT appear in WhatsApp, iMessage, or any other messaging app.
