Mask behavior

The mask is __-__.

With mask={true} replace={...}:

12-|34
DELETE
12-|4
INSERT 0
12-0|

Expected:

12-|34
DELETE
12-|4
INSERT 0
12-0|4

This can be achieved with mask={false}.

So what is mask doing here? It only seems to affect the "final" input (more documentation are needed).

mask={true}:

12-|34
INSERT 0
12-0|4

mask={false}:

12-|34
INSERT 0
12-0|3

I think keeping the same behavior is the best option for the user experience.
