Background

Direct download access has been disabled while the redistribution status of JKP data obtained through WRDS is reviewed. Availability through an institutional subscription does not by itself establish permission to redistribute the underlying files publicly.

Required review

• Inventory each downloadable file and trace it to its original source and transformation pipeline.
• Review the applicable WRDS, JKP, institutional, and source-dataset terms.
• Distinguish raw data, transformed data, derived portfolio results, documentation, and visualizations.
• Obtain written confirmation where the license language is not explicit.

Acceptance criteria

• Direct download links remain disabled until redistribution permission is documented.
• Each candidate download has a provenance and rights record.
• The permitted public outputs and prohibited outputs are listed explicitly.
• The Data Access page provides the required attribution and an approved access route.
• The final decision and supporting source links are recorded in this Issue.

This task records an evidence-based licensing review; it should not infer legal permission from technical accessibility alone.
