While this is a good idea, maybe that we should add a test to avoid people intentionaly wrongly replace words with others.

Maybe that making only the owner of a message able to modify it might be a solution ?

Anyways, on the implementation side, we would need a log of the channel, at least a temporary one.
While keeping something like the 100 last messages in the database and not publishing them doesn't sound like a privacy problem, it sounds a bit heavy for a single trigger to use it.

Many other triggers could be built on a temporary log though, so it might be implemented as a part of the 2.0 release ?

I thought bitbot had a temporary storage somewhere, since it spams my terminal with log messages. If that's not the case, then it's as you said, we need at least a storage to record all participants' last message

After discussions in other places, it has been pointed out that we only need to know each participant's last message, so we could in fact use a map[string]string or a simple database table instead of having a log of the channel.
