How to improve setup process?

Right now this is the flow:

Obviously Remote MCP changes that final step (should just copy/paste the URL into Claude), and I suppose changes the need for OAuth entirely, but what about improving Wrangler integration?

Just a tracking issue for me to collect my thoughts...

hey @geelen, thanks a lot for creating this wonderful tool!

I used workers-mcp to create a CLI command (bun create mcp) that one-click deploys a MCP server to workers, runs the setup command to add it to claude, and copies a correctly-formatted MCP server command to paste into Cursor (and other IDEs with MCP support)

@amxv that's super cool! I haven't had much time to tweak the flow here on this repo, but it's great you've been able to take this and run with it.

When first-class remote MCP servers are starting to become viable I'll be refactoring this whole project, but in the interim (to anyone following this issue) checkout create-mcp above. It's got some more fleshed-out-example projects there too!

i think cloudflare workers are stable enough for fast MCP servers now, imo its a perfect use case for edge compute.

i bet you have some ideas about what a good abstraction would look like for using workers as MCP servers :)
