Error displaying windows during expert installation!

It is impossible to mark up the disk, the partition selection window is blocked by another window!

I have the exact same issue, and have not figured out any way around it yet. It's a hard no on installation for me so far.

To whom it may concern,
first, happy new year. I wish you all a healthy and peaceful year.
I recognize the same issue on two older macbooks (one 13! display and one 15" display size). On the first one I was able to assign with a lot of resizing the window to the /boot/efi part and the / mount. The swap partition could be assigned later.
On the second one I am not able to assign the /boot/efi or any other partition.
The automatic installation works, but unfortunately it uses lvm for all partitions which is senseless on a macbook without the ability to change or enhance disks. Using lvm makes the os much slower than using native partitions (according to my existing macbooks and running other linux derivatives on them)
It would be a pleasure to get a more reliable install shield....
