Problem or motivation

For the search of docs, adding the additional and/or custom metadata could be helpful to make quicker findings like ISBN numbers, shelf locations, prices, weights, dimensions, etc. etc.

Proposed solution

Allow to search for metadata. Thats hard, because its a lot of different and dynamic field types like dropdown, integers, bools, text

Accepted. Your diagnosis is right: the mixed field types are the difficult part. They are exactly why this sits on the longer-term major line with the other deeper search and model work.
