Ranking the player

Hey again...

I know that some backgammon engines can give a player ranking score based on the moves they play, and I presume GNU BG can aswell - is that exposed?

Hey man! Correct, GNU does it. It is not done in this Go version but no reason why it could not be added

OK - let me know if you find the motivation to pick up any of my issues - otherwise would love a push in the direction of the GNU code that handles each of them so I can look to port if you don't get around to it!

Cool! I'd have to remind myself and analyse the code. Probably a good start would be to search for "rating" and/or "luck"

ooph just pulled the code base - I think I found ranking the player - my C is sooo rusty lol 😂

👍 cool, a lot of that code is very interesting. I'm also a C n00b btw, lol. The online playgrounds for C are quite nice for comparing with Go code
