[BUG] unable to add a Pixelfed.social account

I have a problem which is maybe related to the Pixelfed Bug pixelfed/pixelfed#6753 that's why I'm also tagging @shleeable.

But as this is maybe related to Pixelix only, I report it here.

i tried to add a Pixelfed.social user to Pixelix.
The app is running Pixelix 5.1.2 (fdroid)

I already have some accounts in Pixelix.
As soon as I try to add a new account from Pixelfed social to Pixelix, it's failing.

The browser I use is Firefox klar, which starts without cookies.

This works perfectly on my own instance (v0.12.9]

But not with the main Pixelfed.social

You could try to use the official app and see if it works there, but i don't think this is a Pixelix issue.
