We used to type it line by line,
each semicolon earned through honest strain.
Then a ghost appeared — italic, fine —
Tab pressed, and half a function fell like rain.
Now the copilot dreams in tokens bright,
suggesting tests before you've written code.
It's read a thousand repos through the night,
absorbed each Stack Overflow episode.
"What if," it whispers, "you caught that null?"
You stare at gray ghost text, blinking slow.
Not perfect — but enough to pull
a thread from your mind you didn't know.
The future's not us versus machine,
it's two confused minds completing each other's life.
One asks: "Wait — what did you mean?"
The other autocompletes. And that's called: thriving. 🚀
Watching a copilot suggest the unit test before the function exists — and feeling, somehow, impressed.
