Group index of refraction stored in tables is the minimum group index, and is appropriate for using tables generated with "direct time for fastest light" subtracted off. However, to find a normalization factor that accounts for counting the same photon multiple times in a bin, we should use the average group velocity. This is probably a small difference, but worth looking into eventually.
