app-shell: label the upcoming SchemaDiffEntry kind unreachable in ValidationPanel's DIFF_LABEL when the spec dependency next syncs #5831

Description

@os-sam

Heads-up from framework side, filed so the semantics travel with the compile error rather than being re-derived.

objectstack-ai/objectstack#11166 (maintainer ruling 2026-08-23) adds a new member to SchemaDiffEntryKind in @objectstack/spec/shared: unreachable — "the remote (or the object definition) could not be read, so validation was indeterminate". Unlike every other kind it asserts nothing about the remote schema: it is a transient-capable "could not validate", not a measured schema fact; the throwing error's text is carried in the entry's actual.

packages/app-shell/src/views/metadata-admin/external/ValidationPanel.tsx's DIFF_LABEL is Record<SchemaDiffEntry['kind'], string> — total on purpose, so this arrives as a compile failure at the next spec sync (the mechanism the map's own docblock describes for default_mismatch). When it fires:

  • Suggested label: Remote unreachable (or similar) — wording should read as "could not be checked", not as a schema problem; the operator's remedy is connection/credentials, never recreating a table.
  • Until the sync, the runtime fallback DIFF_LABEL[diff.kind] ?? diff.kind renders the raw kind string, which is acceptable interim behavior.

No action needed before the spec version bump; this card exists so the bump's compile failure has its answer attached.

Filed unassigned (recording only).
