Thanks for reviewing and merging #970 and #971.
With #955, #970 and #971 on main, the known client-side causes of the silent data loss and wedge behaviours from #900 / #948 / #898 are all fixed. The latest release (v3.0.3, December 2025) predates all of them, so every new deployment still installs a client with these bugs.
The fixes are already in the staged 4.0.0 changelog (#724). If 4.0.0 or a beta on the beta channel is close, that solves it for us. We can then stop running a forked desktop client on our side, which is quite heavy to maintain.
If it is not close: the #970 description ended with an offer to prepare stable-3.0 backports for a 3.0.4, and your approval note said that sounds reasonable. If I read that right, I will file the backport PRs for #955, #970 and #971 against stable-3.0 and run the full suite on them, leaving only review and merge on your side. The 3.0.4 release PR (#755) is already staged.
Context: we run OpenCloud for business clients and are holding our broader desktop rollout until an official release contains these fixes. We would rather not distribute self-built binaries.
