Entities leave floating nametag

playing 1.21.11 on a server, and when placing a minecart with hopper, opening it, then closing and breaking it, the nametag stays floating in place. if there is an easy fix in settings im missing, or this is fixed in a future version i apologize.

Hmm, i check this tomorrow, also now you can add this name to block list (in where is it config) or disable all name render (in chest tracker config)

@5c0r910n Are you sure this is the name renderer from the chest tracker mod? In theory, any storage entity name is skipped. Check the name renderer again in another world.

its weird, it doesnt show up in singleplayer, and when i place a new one the name went away when i slept, but this picture is the same spot as the old photo, still there. the name fades away depending on what i change the "Name Render Range" in the where is it settings, if thats part of another mod i apologize, not sure what to do about it, any clues of how to fix would be #awesome

The easiest way to check if this is part of this mod is to add this name to the blacklist, please try doing this in the Where Is It config settings and report the results of this action

I have the same issue where if I open a named shulker or inventory, it hovers. Like here in the purchase history. However if I do as you mentioned, to add it to the blacklist in the "Where Is It", then it disappears. However I have other shulkers that are named and the nametag stays on top of them.

Hmm, this might be a bug caused by labels not being cleared on render, most likely due to a fix for double rendering with a search query. Try downgrading the mod version and tell me if the problem goes away.

I am on 1.21.10, just downgraded from 2.8.2 to 2.8.1 where I don't have the blacklist and I still get the labels.

If I remember correctly I've had this issue before, not sure which version. I thought it was CMI or some other plugin being funny. But I reset my PC and reinstalled mods, forgot to get chest tracker and after getting it these reappeared.

This isn't what I was talking about; it because it differs from the original container name (the chest interface was conventionally named after the label in your photo). For such cases, a render block button for this container label and blacklist settings were added in the Where Is It config. I was referring to the original topic of the issue.
