DPEdit not actually setting display positions

Using the 1.4.0 version on Windows 11 25H2 with either Command Prompt or PowerShell, either in administrator mode or not:

When running dpedit commands, the utility reports success but the actual display positions do not change.

Example:
dpedit 2 0 -2160

"Applying position {0, -2160} to Display # 2...
Done!"

...but then when when running dpedit /L, it still shows Display 2 at Position: {-29, -2160}

What does your display setup/layout look like? Keep in mind that you cannot set display positions that overlap with each other

Yep, you are correct - the overlap issue was the problem. Another monitor to the right was offset just enough to prevent this move, and other moves tried also would result in overlap.

After setting arbitrary positions to fix the situation, was able to then set desired positions.

As many users might expect the utility to override an overlap condition (i.e. force new positions(, is there any way to detect that there will be a resulting overlap and warn the user, instead of a silent fail?
