.opus & .aac files not appearing on certain music players

Describe the bug
Within the app, it is clear of how adding cover art works, but when I fot to see the cover art on "retro music" or "fossify music player", the art cover does not appear, and shows to be blank, even when flac-r says otherwise

Steps to reproduce

1. Have .opus files
2. Go to Flac-r
3. Tap "Batch edit all" (assuming you scanned the folder with your .opus files)
4. Add Cover art for all .opus files on related folder
5. Click "Apply to All"
6. See in other music player apps (both open and closed sourced) that cover art doesn't appear

What i expected was the art cover to appear on the other music players (as anyone would expect) but it didnt appear

Device info

• Android version: 13
• Device model: Galaxy A32 5G (SM-A326U)
• Flac-R version (check the info tab): 0.5.4

Troubleshooting
All necessary permissions were allowed, I had only added this one folder for flac-r to see, as all other songs (that were tied to albums) had metadata and coverart already added. All songs are on only internal storage, and all files have normal paths with normal characters, everything located in the English alphabet (so no fancy characters)

Thanks for you're interest in Flac-R! This is indeed quite a intriguing bug sort of? I messed with 3 music players being Poweramp, Fossify music player & PixelPlayerOSS and Poweramp seemed to consistently work fine on single edits and batch edits but Fossify & PixelPlayer seemed to get stuck and refuse to serve the new album cover art even after force stopping and rescaning the media in both apps. The current workaround is to do a clean reinstall where then it will finally serve the new updated album cover art. I am not fully sure if this is a problem with other players or how I went about managing the .opus album art but I will do further investigation so thanks for bringing this up! (Also worth noting when bringing the files to pc and playing them on players there/viewing thier metadata with other apps the updated album cover art shows leading me to believe this could be a issue with the player)

Turns out the app never told Android's "MediaStore" that a file changed after writing tags meaning there was no MediaScannerConnection call anywhere. Thats why players like Fossify & PixelPlayer that rely on MediaStore's cached art just keep showing the old thumbnail. And as it turns out Poweramp ignores that cache and reads files directly, which is why it always worked. Reinstall "fixes" it because that forces a fresh scan. Same reason PC tools show it fine too.

With all that being said even after fixing that Fossify now shows the new artwork for other formats but opus & aac as while pixel-player was very stubborn and I could not seem to reliably get results with it.

The fixes to Android's "MediaStore" have been merged and you can test them I would like to know if you have similar or different results for the meantime I will keep looking into this

Reinstalling the app didnt work, unless I misunderstood what you were saying

I had downloaded songs for a new album and still was unable to get the cover art recognized by fossify or any other music player I use on my phone

So my question is are you applying an update that will fix this issue?
