Plugin Support

Any thoughts on directly supporting plugin lookup?

The plugin gem handles this pretty well. However, there is the consideration of how that interacts with acquire (vs. require). Since plugin looks for all files within the plugins/ filespace, it doesn't conform to the package isolation that acquire espouses. This bares some consideration for a "plugin 2.0".
