Regarding the Stereonet module, is it possible to obtain the corresponding crystal plane great circles by entering any two crystal directions?

Is it possible to add arbitrary points directly with the mouse in Stereonet and read the crystal direction indices for those points? Thanks

The great-circle drawing feature has actually been implemented for some time, but its interface had been broken. I have fixed it now, so please try the latest version. You can configure great-circle drawing from the "Large Circle" tab.

Regarding the feature of adding a point directly by mouse click, it is a bit difficult to accurately determine which indices correspond to that point. For example, when you intend to add [0 0 1], a slight misalignment of the mouse cursor might cause it to be identified as [1 0 10] instead. For now I will hold off on adding this feature, but if you have a more specific use case in mind, please feel free to let me know and I will consider it.

Instead, I have added a feature that displays which plane/axis indices correspond to the current mouse cursor position. It is shown in the upper-right area of the stereographic projection. It displays the index closest to the mouse cursor position, within the range where the sum of the absolute values of the three indices is 30 or less.

Furthermore, would it be possible in the next version to adjust the line width of the stereo projection and the great circle, as well as to trace lines at any angle other than the great circle? Thanks

Yes, I think in certain cases, the small circle may be helpful for analyzing crystallographic relationships in specific situations, such as plotting trajectories at fixed angles.
