I could not reproduce the reported behavior from the instructions currently available.

What I tried

• Ran pnpm -F @sveltejs/enhanced-img test:unit in the SvelteKit checkout.: All 3 enhanced-image unit tests passed.
• Built the enhanced-image integration app after adding a temporary #lib/* package import mapping and <enhanced:img src="#lib/logo.png">.: The server and client production builds succeeded and processed the aliased image.
• Cloned linked CLI PR 1300 and ran pnpm install --frozen-lockfile && pnpm build && pnpm test:ci.: Only demo-checkjs and demo-none failed; neither had @sveltejs/enhanced-img or enhancedImages() configured, so the tag was left untransformed and prerender treated #lib/... as a URL fragment.
• Built the linked PR's configured demo-typescript project and a standalone reproduction using the reported released versions with the exact source path.: Both builds succeeded and emitted generated AVIF, WebP, and PNG image assets.

Observed blocker
The reported behavior could not be reproduced when @sveltejs/enhanced-img is configured: current SvelteKit and the reported released enhanced-image version both build the exact #lib/images/svelte-welcome.png source successfully. The linked CI failure comes from CLI PR 1300 fixtures that include <enhanced:img> markup without installing/configuring the enhanced-image plugin; an untransformed src="#lib/..." is then interpreted as an HTML fragment at prerender time. This needs an adjustment in that CLI PR's fixture setup, rather than a SvelteKit or enhanced-image patch.
