Access to pre-1.2.0 utility functions

Does the new classy lenses style API from 1.2.0 onwards support the utility functions/combinators which existed in the library pre-1.2.0 in some obvious easy way that I'm missing, or are users supposed to entirely migrate to the classy lensy style API if they want to bump to >=1.2.0?

As far as I can tell all of the old functions do not exist anymore (i.e. anything below and including this section - https://hackage-content.haskell.org/package/validation-1.1.5/docs/Data-Validation.html#g:2).

I do understand how some (maybe all? but I can't immediately think of straightforward 1-to-1 replacements for all of them, e.g. validationNel, validate, bindValidation) of them can be replaced using the new classy lens API, but that still means I have to do a lot of work to bump the version, i.e. more than just renaming/importing a different module.

Of course, this is not as big of an issue for someone using cabal and cabal constraints to build their library, but it does somewhat start to be an issue for LTS stackage-style users. It would have been neat to keep the old functions around for backwards compat and have the classy API be exported from a different module, e.g. much like how esqueleto has done with its new Experimental module, making gradual migration (bump version -> gradually switch to new "better" module -> eventually stop relying on old module entirely) possible
