I’m Alessandro Berti, a Postdoctoral Researcher in Quantum Algorithms at the University of Pisa. I hold a PhD in Computer Science (2024) and I work on quantum artificial intelligence, quantum state preparation, and QRAM-based state approaches. I’m also the inventor of a patented quantum state preparation technique.
In 2012, before even starting university, I stumbled upon a divulgative book about computer science and, in the very last pages, I read two words: "Quantum Computing". From that day, my curiosity about this field has never stopped growing — through a Bachelor’s, a Master’s (110/110 cum laude), a PhD, a visiting period at Fermilab (SQMS Center), and now a postdoc. Today I focus on quantum algorithms, quantum AI, and bringing quantum subroutines closer to practical applications.
In 2019, together with Luca and Eugenio, I launched the PointerPodcast, an Italian podcast about technology and innovation — now with 230+ episodes. I also co-founded Superhero Valley, a community of 2,300+ members focused on technical interview preparation.
