LunaStore is an enthusiast project created for lovers of retro aesthetics. It makes it easy to find and download programs for older operating systems, primarily Windows XP.
LunaStore is built on a fairly modern stack to guarantee fast performance, good optimization, and compatibility even with Internet Explorer 6:
- Language and framework: Django (Python), our custom LunaSpire engine (written in Go; for CDN and other cool things in the future)
- Database: PostgreSQL 18
- Infrastructure: Docker, Docker Compose
- Authentication: OpenID (OIDC) support is available
