docs: add README status badges - #9

Bring the README badge row up to parity with floe-guard. Added: npm version, npm downloads, CI, License (MIT). Each badge target verified against the live registry/workflow/license before inclusion.

Each badge target was verified against ground truth before inclusion (npm/PyPI registry 200, real workflow filename + default branch, actual LICENSE contents). No existing badges removed; no license type changed.
