Are you using one of these scary LLMs to help you debug your code? If you're concerned about privacy, it's a good idea to remove sensitive data before pasting, but it can be a real pain. That's where Identity Exchanger comes in. It'll read your clipboard, look for any sensitive data and replace it with placeholders. All you have to do is press a shortcut key on your keyboard. And because it's written in Rust, it's blazingly fast!

What it can mask:

  • Your local username
  • Hostname
  • IP addresses (V4 and V6)
  • Git username
  • Git emails
  • Paths to a project (if recognized)
  • Project names (if recognized)

Where does it run?:

  • Linux - of course
  • macOS - maybe
  • Windows? What is that?

About

Quickly remove sensitive data—such as project paths and names—from your clipboard using a keyboard shortcut before pasting it into a LLM you don’t trust.
