Getting Started

Help Manual

The help manual covers most of the details on how SpanAnalyzer works. To view it:

• Start SpanAnalyzer
• Select from the menu Help -> Manual

Example

An example is included in the installation. The files are located here:

• Linux: /opt/otls/span-analyzer/examples
• Windows: C:/OTLS/SpanAnalyzer/Examples

To give the example a try:

• Start SpanAnalyzer
• Add a cable
  • Select from the menu Edit -> Cables
  • Add the ACSR_Drake.cable example file
  • Select Ok
• Open the example document file
  • Select from the menu File -> Open
  • Select the test.spananalyzer file located in the test directory
• Activate a span for analysis
  • Double click an entry in the Edit Pane
• Select a result to view
  • From the Results Pane, select the Stringing filter
  • Select an entry to view plot(s)

If the above steps aren't working, it might be helpful to check the logs. Select from the menu View -> Logs.
