The merged isolated-execution work needs a new immutable version before it can pass the main-branch CI selection and permanent local signing flow. Reusing alpha.7 would overwrite an accepted artifact and violate the release process.
Impact
Once merged and green on
main, the signing helper can select the exact CI-built alpha.8 candidate for local permanent-key signing. No application behavior changes beyond the already merged isolated-execution feature.Validation
