Fix truncated HTML, cleanup, and add verification ignore

Fixes the truncated index.html file to properly close the footer tags and link to the privacy policy and terms of service. It also removes the empty signuphtml file. A script verify_app.py was created and run to take screenshots to visually verify the frontend app (the screenshots and test script are ignored in git).
