Hello everybody 👋

My name is Carsten and I'm a professional software developer and computer graphics researcher. I am mostly writing computer graphics and rendering software. I love video game technology.

In the past, I also did a lot of modding for the GTA III era games. I started and lead the GTA: United modification for GTA: San Andreas for most of it's development time and did some programming and scripting for GTA: Berlin. I also wrote some related modding tools and contributed to the GTA Mods Wiki.

In my research I focus on Virtual and Mixed Reality. In my free-time I study graphics engine architecture and modern rendering APIs. In particular, I am developing the LiteFX engine.
