This repository contains a comprehensive spatial data analysis of demographic trends across European Union NUTS-3 regions. By leveraging geographic information systems (GIS) and spatial statistics, this project explores regional disparities, population dynamics, and geographic clustering of demographic indicators.
The analysis focuses on several key demographic indicators:
- Population Density
- Median Age of Population
- Crude Rate of Total Population Change
- Net Migration (including statistical adjustments)
Using GeoDa, the project includes variable mapping and spatial autocorrelation to identify spatial clusters and outliers across the EU.
Data - Cleaned/: Processed datasets ready for spatial analysis.EU_NUTS3/: Shapefiles and boundary data for EU NUTS-3 regions.Spatial Autocorrelation/: Results and statistical outputs from spatial autocorrelation models (e.g., Moran's I).Variable Maps/: Visualizations of demographic distributions across regions.GeoDa Files.gda: Main project file for opening the analysis in GeoDa.Presentation.pptx: Slide deck summarizing the methodologies and key findings.
