Patch. The one addition since 0.8.0 is FR-UI-UPD-02, the automatic update check: opt-out, once per start, silent unless a newer release is found, with a clickable link in the top status area beside the connection indicator. Nothing else changes. Version bumped in Cargo.toml (workspace), lockfile, README, user manual. CHANGELOG and the test-strategy ledger updated. 327 tests.
