Hi there, I'm Damian Vargas 👋

🎓 About Me

I'm a 21-year-old Data Science & AI Engineering student at ESPOL (Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral), in my 4th semester, based in Guayaquil, Ecuador. I started out putting together web prototypes for university projects, and right now I'm leaning more into backend and figuring out how to build AI agents. I mostly learn by building stuff, breaking it, and fixing it again.

Soy estudiante de Ingeniería en Ciencia de Datos e IA en ESPOL (Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral), tengo 21 años y voy en 4to semestre, desde Guayaquil, Ecuador. Empecé armando prototipos web para proyectos de la universidad, y ahora mismo me estoy metiendo más en el backend y aprendiendo a construir agentes de IA. Aprendo sobre todo construyendo cosas, rompiéndolas y volviéndolas a arreglar.

🚀 What I'm working on

  • Solidifying the fundamentals with uno-poo, my OOP project — a UNO game built in Java and later migrated to Python
  • Learning JavaScript and keeping all my exercises and experiments in ds-playground
  • Up next: building my first real API and a bot, each as its own project

I'm still early in this journey, and honestly that's the point — this profile will grow as I do.
