📚 Library Management System

A console-based Library Management System developed in C++ using Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and File Handling. The application enables efficient management of books, members, and borrowing records while demonstrating core C++ programming concepts.

C++ OOP File Handling Platform License

📌 Project Overview

This project simulates a real-world library management system through a menu-driven console application. It allows users to manage books, library members, issue and return books, and search records efficiently. All information is stored using text files, ensuring data persistence even after the program exits.

Developed as part of the Thiranex C++ Internship Program, this project strengthened concepts such as object-oriented programming, file handling, vectors, string streams, and CRUD operations.

⚙️ How It Works

Each book contains:

  • Book ID
  • Title
  • Author
  • Category
  • Issue Status

Each member contains:

  • Member ID
  • Member Name
  • Phone Number

Books are stored in:

books.txt

Members are stored in:

members.txt

Borrowing records are maintained in:

issued_books.txt

using pipe-separated records.

Example:

101|Harry Potter|J. K. Rowling|Fantasy|0
