With a background in ecology, data science, and research administration, I am broadly interested in sustainability and justice. I have worked in both urban and rural landscapes; I now call Chicago home and am focused on applying my skills to issues of urban sustainability and equity. Topic areas of interest include public transportation, housing justice, education, and urban ecology. I enjoy projects involving data analysis, data collection via web scraping or experimental design, sound statistical modeling, research skills, and communicating findings in clear and creative ways.
I am an accomplished classical violinist (I've played with Yo-Yo Ma and at Lollapalooza), solo backpacker (favorite trips include the 200-km Sunshine Coast Trail and 150 miles of the Arizona Trail), and avid reader.

This course project analyzed Chicago rideshare and CTA data to identify why residents choose services like Uber or Lyft over public transportation. By integrating City of Chicago trip records with Google Maps API data, the study evaluated the trade-offs between travel time, cost, and neighborhood accessibility. The final analysis, presented via an interactive dashboard, highlights specific gaps in the transit network where service improvements could effectively reduce car dependency and improve urban equity.
