@goughy You touched this file significantly.
@rjpcomputing I think you're the original author? (Although I suspect quite little of the original code remains)
I think I need at least both of your approval before I can affix a LICENSE.txt file (which has been requested)
I'm not sure about the first line of text... who should I attribute the copyright to?

@redtide Or did you do it? Perthaps these are aliases of the same person?

@TurkeyMan Are you talking about the codelite module?
AFAIR the original author is RJP, I did some changes to adapt it to a newer premake version and then goughy got it and added it in his module extension proposal.

@TurkeyMan What is the license type? MIT? Apache?

I copied it from premake-core, it appears to be a 3-clause BSD license.

I think the original author retains copyright, I should probably put your name in there?

Probably, but I am not bothered one way or the other.

I approve this. Thanks for porting.

Same here, I just hope that those names in those files will not be removed in the future.

Maybe we should have a CONTRIBUTORS.txt for the modules too? Though there is no reason why the names should be removed from their current locations.

You mean in the source code? I'm not sure why any names would be removed from any locations...? That would be a pretty lame move.
The license never existed prior, and I'm still not sure what to write in the header, which is why I asked.

Lame or not it happened elsewhere because some 'it's a community project, too much people to list' or 'oops, our automatic script replaced it', and the like.
I don't remember if file headers was already there or added by me when I updated the code (at that time I did the same for other projects too) but it seems ok as is now for me.
Maybe a contributors file for modules could be a better idea: I think it's good to take track about 'who did what', IMHO people deserve it.

Git keeps an immutable commit log ;) .. Some of these repos predate git,
but I think that problem is history.

Does anyone have a copy of the original repository before @goughy moved it to a new repo (assuming there was one)? I can rebase the recent changes ontop of the original repo so everyone is represented in the commit log, if it still exists.

It should be the one at https://bitbucket.org/redtide/premake-dev/src/8331c2bf04452b7fa6a94535a4bd6c2062af7888/src/actions/codelite/?at=codelite when I did those changes (2 years ago).
