يوثّق كيف كان لكل من المفسّر والمترجم (زائد نسخة ثالثة منفصلة لهدف Android) خوارزميّة مختلفة لـهاش/شفّر/فك_تشفير قبل توحيدها على SHA-256/ SHA-256-CTR في s-programming-language#212، بما فيها الفخّ (نسخة Android الفائتة) والباغ الأمنيّ (اقتطاع مفتاح صامت) اللذين كشفتهما مراجعة ما قبل الدفع، والتباعُد المتبقّي عمدًا في مسار خطأ فك_تشفير.
