Hey, I'm Sharique 👋

Solution Architect | Digital Transformation & Application Modernisation | Berlin, Germany 🇩🇪

20+ years delivering enterprise digital transformation programmes for globally recognised organisations including Bayer, Pfizer, Takeda, Boehringer Ingelheim, Royal Mail Group, and Microsoft. Background spans solution architecture, cross-functional team leadership, regulated environment delivery (pharma, healthcare, GDPR), and end-to-end platform modernisation.

Currently expanding into cloud-native architecture and modern engineering practices - AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner (Apr 2026), AWS Solutions Architect Associate in progress, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Generative AI Professional certified (Oct 2025).

🏗️ What I do

Architecture & Enterprise Delivery Defining solution architecture, leading engineering teams, and delivering complex digital platforms at enterprise scale. Notable work includes a unified multisite framework for Takeda (30+ sites, single codebase), a website factory synchronisation process for Bayer achieving 99.5% reliability across 300+ environments, and a GDPR-compliant stateless data privacy architecture for a regulated financial services platform.

Application Modernisation End-to-end platform rebuilds, version migrations (including Drupal 4.7→5, 7→9, 9→10), and performance-driven architectural refactoring - including a 5x application performance improvement through architectural overhaul. Actively exploring how AI tooling can accelerate legacy modernisation (see ColorManager below).

Open Source Active Drupal contributor since 2007. Maintaining Read Only Mode (4,400+ active installs), Previewable Email Templates, and several UI Suite modules - 5,000+ combined active installs across maintained modules.

Community Speaker at Drupal Camp Poland, Drupal Camp Pune, and Gnunify (~6 engagements). Workshop facilitator for early-career developers. Participated in Drupal AI Hackathon 2026 (Team 5, January 2026).

🔬 What I'm currently building

Structured upskilling toward cloud-native architecture and modern full-stack engineering:

  • GroceryStore IaC - Terraform project provisioning EC2, RDS, VPC, S3, and GitHub Actions pipelines on AWS. Built as part of Masterschool Cloud Engineering programme (Berlin, 2025–2026) and AWS certification preparation.

  • Markdown Blog App - Vue.js / Nuxt.js application with routing, state management, and API integration. Actively developed via spec-driven development.

  • Todo App - Vue.js application with priority categories. Public learning project.

  • Frontend Layouts - Frontend component practice from Frontend Mentor.

  • ColorManager - Proof of concept: using AI-assisted development to migrate a legacy desktop application to modern web technologies. Demonstrates the principle of AI as an accelerator in application modernisation - not production-scale, but a deliberate experiment in the approach.

  • Project Management App (private, in development) - Jira-like application with Go backend and Vue.js frontend. Acting as both Product Owner and Architect. Demonstrates structured delivery and architectural decision-making with an unfamiliar tech stack.
