Open food-composition database powering the BodyReset app — a derivative database built from open food-data sources, published under the Open Database License (ODbL) v1.0.
This repository exists to satisfy the ODbL share-alike obligation for OpenFoodFacts-derived data: the derived database is published openly here under ODbL, while the BodyReset app consumes it as a read-only catalog. Keeping the share-alike data in this separate public repository keeps that obligation off the application itself.
This database contains information from:
- OpenFoodFacts — https://world.openfoodfacts.org — made available under the Open Database License (ODbL). Individual contents of the database are available under the Database Contents License (DbCL).
- (Additional sources are listed here as they are added — e.g. USDA FoodData Central (public domain / CC0), UK CoFID (Open Government Licence v3.0). Public-domain and non-share-alike sources are attributed but carry no ODbL obligation.)
The derived database in this repository is licensed under the Open Database License (ODbL) v1.0 — see LICENSE. You are free to share and adapt it, provided you:
- Attribute — keep the attribution above intact;
- Share-Alike — keep any derived/adapted database open under ODbL; and
- Keep open — do not use technical measures that restrict others from using the database under ODbL.
