Summary

Revamps the portfolio experience with dedicated resume, projects, and blog surfaces; refreshed content; and accessibility, responsive-layout, and deployment/tooling improvements.

What Changed

Portfolio and resume redesign

  • Reworked the home page, navigation, footer, shared shell, typography, and visual system.
  • Added dedicated /resume and /projects routes.
  • Refined experience, education, skills, project, and company-overview sections and tiles.
  • Removed the legacy about page and superseded UI helpers.

Blog platform

  • Added MDX-backed blog listing and article routes.
  • Added frontmatter validation, reading-time calculation, date formatting, adjacent-post navigation, and year grouping.
  • Built blog tiles, article presentation, and custom MDX components.
  • Added a kitchen-sink MDX post to exercise supported content patterns.

Content updates

  • Added UWaterloo education metadata and logo.
  • Updated experience and project data, including fspeek, deris, Sure (FOSS), and simple-technical-resume.
  • Moved SpectraSVD and other projects into the non-selected collection.

Polish, accessibility, and responsiveness

  • Improved navigation hit areas, skip-link focus behavior, decorative-logo semantics, reduced-motion handling, and contrast.
  • Refined mobile blog layouts, article widths, footer layout, company-badge alignment, and project presentation.

Tooling and deployment

  • Upgraded to Next.js 16 and added Playwright.
  • Updated lint/deployment workflows, ESLint, TypeScript, font assets, and project dependencies.
